Advanced Mixing Mechanism
The agitator in our Ribbon Blenders is powered by a gearmotor drive, achieving a peripheral speed of up to approximately 300 feet per minute (fpm). This agitator features both outer and inner ribbons that create a dynamic mixing environment:
Radial Movement
The outer ribbons move ingredients inward toward the blender’s center, while the inner ribbons push materials outward toward the blender wall.
Axial Movement
The difference in speeds between the outer and inner ribbons facilitates lateral (axial) movement along the blender’s horizontal axis, driving the ingredients in opposite directions.
Small-Scale Random Motion (Diffusion): Enhancing uniformity at a microscopic level.
Large-Scale Random Motion (Convection): Ensuring thorough mixing across the entire batch.
Shear Forces: Generated by particle-to-agitator, particle-to-wall, and particle-to-particle collisions, these forces ensure complete and consistent blending.
